in toward marin county. but no slowing. live look at palo alto, shows you 101 as we face north on the right side past willow avenue, we hear also construction there but i don't see anything here in this shot and we don't see slowing so we should be easy drive through palo alto. >> thank you, mike. >> happening now, the search is on this morning for a bay area man after police say he took two children and just sailed away on a stolen boat. >> christie smith live in ala me do with what police are doing to try to track them down. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. i have to say this is really an out of the way location at the edge of the bay here in alameda but investigators say that on tuesday, a father came here where we are and stole a 40-foot boat and sailed away with his two small children, that they say he took from their mother's home in south san francisco. and that he could be heading to mexico. police say 43-year-old

christopher took the two children in a rental car, a white ford, to a harbor here where we are. this according to the contra costa times. the father had been to the harbor a couple of weeks before this with the kids and asking around about the possibility of buying a boat. there was a search on wednesday where it was believed that the boat was spotted. no luck in finding any of them. brooklyn was last seen wearing a white sleeveless dress with blue and green designs, devin was wearing a short sleeved sponge bob shirt and a diaper. the boat white hunter 41 with blue canvas called unleashed with the number hunfor 1366707. south san francisco police

consider them abducted and issued a warrant for the father's arrest. christie smith, "today in the bay." >> 4:34. another search this morning for a missing man from lafayette. brett olson disappeared during an inner tube trip down the sacramento river. his friends have launched a facebook page. it had close to 66,000 followers within 48 hours. twitter is also abuzz with people tweeting and retweeting the #find brett olson. there is also star power behind the tweets from howie mandel and friends say they are grateful for all of the publicity and hope the efforts pay off. >> two people dead in vallejo and police are looking for the suspects who shot them. police found the victims in a

home on agethey'reton street. they had been shot. neighbors saw two men running away from the scene moments after hearing the pops. no word on motive. >> the teen charged with vehicular manslaughter for the death of a father and daughter will be in court today. the 17-year-old is accused of hitting and killing the two as they were riding their bikes. prosecutors decided to charge the teen as a minor. nuri's family hoped he would be charged as an adult. >> we can tell you a third person has died from the hantavirus outbreak at yosemite national park prompting park officials to raise a warning about that disease. the recent victim a west virginia man who stayed in a tent cabin at a lodge and parked in the high country. seven more cases are linked to the tent cabins in curry village. authorities say as many as

last night they did gather for a screening of a new documentary about the deadly day. a lot of the survivors sat tensely, sometimes wiping away tears as they watched trial by fire at the san mateo history museum. bob hensel believes watching the film helps him and others release some of the emotions they had bottled up >> probably bot people back and opened up memories and stuff but people are trying to suppress. and i kind of the i can face it head on. >> many victims of the blast say they are still dealing with insurance reimbursement and lawsuit against pg&e. >> calling it star studded hardly does justice to the lineup for tonight's stand up to cancer telethon. tonight's benefit at the shrine auditorium in los angeles. all four broadcast networks plus
